Additional Features
This valve is used with gas engine-driven compressors to save fuel and reduce engine and compressor wear by causing the engine to idle when the continuous run control reaches its cut-out setting. Its 1/8 inch NPT inlet is connected to the throttle control port of a vent unloader or the tee of a head unloader line on a pilot valve, while the cable end is attached to the engine's throttle linkage with the cable housing anchored using the supplied cable clamps. At the cut-out setting, the valve's piston extends the control cable to push the throttle lever into idle, and at the cut-in setting, the valve is vented, allowing the throttle to return to the original, full-speed position.
