Filter Fluid+ Protector lifts corrosion deposits & contaminants within central heating systems to deliver the debris to an in-line filter.
Developed for use with the Fernox TF1 filter range and in-line system filters. Fernox Filter Fluid+ Protector is specifically formulated to lift corrosion deposits and contaminants within central heating systems to deliver the debris directly to an in-line filter (such as one from the Fernox TF1 Filter range) for fast removal and containment. Importantly, it also provides the long-term protection of domestic central heating systems against internal corrosion and limescale formation.
Application and Dosage
The recommended ‘in use’ concentration of the product is 0.5%. One 1 pint bottle will treat an average 26 gallon system (up to 10 single radiators). Product can be dosed into the system via the Fernox TF1 filling point, the system filling loop or the radiator using a Fernox Injector and circulate. Fernox Filter Fluid+ Protector liberates system contaminants and delivers them to an in-line filter for removal. Once all the work is complete on the heating system, the final action that we recommend is carried out, is to isolate the filter & empty collected contaminants. Fernox Filter Fluid+ Protector should remain in the system. It is not for use in microbore systems. For heavily sludged systems or new installations, Fernox recommends cleaning and flushing using Fernox Cleaner F3/F5 before treating with Filter Fluid+ Protector/ Protector F1 and installing a filter. The installation of a system or new boiler should comply with all local legislation such as Part L of the Building Regulations For continued protection, it is recommend Fernox Protector levels are checked annually as part of any filter maintenance programme. Filter Fluid+ Protector should only be used when a system filter has been installed.

Fernox Filter Fluid+ Protector is supplied in 1 pint containers or 10 fl oz aerosol cannister. Fernox Filter Fluid+ Protector is classified as non-hazardous, but as with all chemicals: Keep out of reach of children. Do not mix with other chemicals. Contains 1,2-benzisothiazol-3(2H)-one. May produce an allergic reaction.
