Economial Design:
The low weight and short face to face dimensions provie an economical, space saving solution. Additionaly, flanged gaskets are typically not requred due to the built-in body seal o-rings.
 
Minimal Head Loss:
Head loss is minimized by providing a short, straight and virtually unobstructed flow path. Additionally, the spring-loaded disc is designed with very low cracking pressure which reduces the amount of energy required to open the valve.
 
Quick Closure to Reduce Water Hammer:
Shutoff is achieved via the fully automatic, the spring-assisted disc that closes near zero flow velocity.  The lightweight, single disc design creates a positive shutoff propr to the flow reversal which ehlps to keep surges to a minimum.
 
Durable, High Quality Design:
Available in Carbon Steel or Stainless steel body configurations, which allows it to perform well in higher temperature applications. The carbon steel units are expoxy painted. Additionally, both modesl feature anti-corrosive, stainless steel trim (disc, spring, shaft) as standard.
 
Resilent Soft Seats: 
Soft Seats (PTFE or BUNA) combined with a gravity assisted disc help ensure a positive shutoff which creates a bubble tight seal that meets or exceeds AP1 598 leakage requirements.
