The HTP 7550P-382 Flame Rectification Probe is a precision sensing component designed for select Elite XL Volume Water Heaters and Elite XL Commercial Boilers, providing reliable flame detection to ensure safe and efficient burner operation. The probe features a straight ceramic insulator body that protects the internal sensing rod from high temperatures, with a metal electrode extending outward and bent at a right angle at the tip to position it directly in the burner flame path for accurate rectification sensing. The ceramic body passes through a rectangular metal mounting flange with two pre-drilled screw holes, clearly intended for secure, fixed installation on the burner assembly, while the included gasket supports a tight seal to prevent gas leakage at the mounting surface. A small metal terminal at the opposite end of the probe allows for an electrical connection to the control system, enabling the probe to detect flame presence by measuring electrical current through the flame itself.
