Gas Infrared Heaters
Gas infrared heaters are very efficient, even in open spaces with high ceilings or open windows and doors. In fact, they consume up to 50 percent less energy than fan-forced heaters. That's because radiant heaters heat people and objects inside the space. They're excellent for warehouses, garages, airport hangars, distribution centers and outdoor patios. Another advantage is that gas infrared heaters don't rely on a blower to move air throughout the space. This makes infrared heaters one of the quietest heating solutions available.
Infrared gas heaters are typically fueled by propane or natural gas. There are a variety of styles to suit specific applications. The high-intensity models are good for spot heating in rooms with high ceilings and few people; the workers or customers stay warm, and you save money because you don't have to heat that entire space. These models are unvented and require mechanical ventilation in the building. Low-intensity gas infrared heaters may or may not be vented. These are good for lower ceilings and some residential applications. Infrared patio heaters are frequently used to keep customers comfortable in outdoor dining, shopping, and entertaining environments.
