PIC Valves

Pressure Independent Control valves, also known as PIC valves, maintain a set flow to the coil regardless of pressure changes in the system. With a pressure independent control valve, you get the best of three worlds in one. First, the PIC valve serves as an adjustable, automatic balancing valve that can limit the flow to the coil. Next, it regulates the temperature differential via a rolling diaphragm element counteracted by a spring. Finally, it functions the same as a ball valve, giving you full authority modulating control.

You can maintain your set flow to the coil, even if the system experiences pressure changes. Bray Commercial offers the Simple Set Series and the Simple Set Max Series of pressure independent control valves. These PIC valves also allow for a higher PSI and PSID.

  • Simple Set: You can easily set the maximum flow rate by hand with a simple adjustment to the top of the valve. With high range-ability control and dynamic balancing in one housing, you cut down on the cost of material and installation.
  • Simple Set Max: All the benefits of valves in the Simple Set Series, but the Max Series features flange connections, while the Simple Set has threaded connections.
