About Amana Cooling Only Through the Wall AC Units
The PBC series of Amana through the wall AC units feature an Energy Efficiency Ratio (EER) of 9.8 and a nominal capacity of 9,000 or 12,000 BTU/h in 115V or 230/208V models. New installations will require the wall sleeve accessory, which is listed as an option with the units so you can easily add it to your order if needed. If this is a replacement installation and your existing 26-inch wall sleeve is in good condition, you can use that instead. We also carry the extruded aluminum architectural grille upgrade to replace the standard stamped aluminum grille that comes with the wall sleeve.
These recently redesigned models allow for user control from a wired wall thermostat; you will need the Thermostat Interface Kit (PBTCK01) for Amana through the wall AC units in the PB series (ending with "CC") and the programmable wired wall thermostat. Otherwise, the electronic touchpad and handheld remote control allow simple real-time temperature monitoring.
The removable condenser top and easy-access slide-out filter allow for easy cleaning and maintenance service to help prolong the life of your system. Your new through-the-wall AC unit comes with one filter already installed; you can purchase additional spare filters to have on hand. As with the other accessories, compatible replacement filters are listed with a teach cooling system to allow you to easily add them to your order.
